after dragging a very well-behaved chet around the mall for a couple hours last night i felt like he deserved a reward.
yes, i know he is too little to appreciate a reward, but it made me feel less guilty for wasting his night at the mall.
i had a $5 gift card to marble slab in my purse so i decided to go there to get him (and matt and i) a treat.
in my head, the gift card would cover the majority of this purchase.
but i had obviously forgotten the cost of ice cream here in calgary.
after using my $5 gift card my total was still $8.31...for two ice cream treats!
and one was a whimpy little kids size!
absolutely ridiculous.
that is one of the things i miss about rexburg. the prices.
going to the grocery store is painful here.
but at least i got to shop at a real mall before i got destroyed by marble slab.
i guess everywhere has different perks..
anyways, chet loved his treat. he kept saying 'please?' when he was ready for another bite.
and then 'yummm!' as he ate it.
chet now says 7 words quite clearly - hi. bye. daddy. mom. tanky. please. yum.
here are a few other updates on chet:
he has 10 teeth. soon to be 11.
he still HATES baths. (bath time is miserable).
he is an excellent sleeper. honestly, we couldn't ask for a better sleeper.
his laugh makes us so happy. see it here. he just got his second hair cut. {touchy subject.. i like his hair shaggy. matt doesn't.}
he has mastered going up and down stairs. only after a few bad falls, of course.
he loves swings. he isn't so great on slides.
he thinks running away for us is so funny.
he likes to be outside.
he has lots of cute tricks now. but our favorite is if you stick out your pointer finger (like on ET) he will stick his out too and touch them together. i'm sure it sounds weird but, trust me, it's precious.
we are still undecided on who chet looks like.
most people say matt. but i think that is just because they are both boys.
chet doesn't really look like little matt.
(please excuse the not-so-great pictures..)
