holden's canadian citizenship certificate arrived in the mail yesterday.
he is officially canadian!
... and american.
he is ameri-canadian.
he is really excited to be canadian.
he hasn't said that, but i can tell.
holden had a check-up last week.
and he is healthy as an ox.
[whatever that means].
his measurements are:
height: 33 3/4 inches. 98th percentile.
weight: 25 lbs 14 ounces. 83rd percentile.
head circumference: 19 inches. 83rd percentile.
in other words, he is a big kid.
a big, easy-going, smiley, chatty, busy, never-stops-moving kid.

that was one of the stops we made in san diego.
i had no idea what it was exactly, but it turned out to be pretty neat.
we went on this 'tour' through the museum that explained what the mormon battalion was.
we had both of our kids there so i was worried that they wouldn't be super cooperative.
but the tour was humorous and animated, so it kept their attention pretty well.
well, chet's at least.
holden was mostly interested in touching everything and opening doors he shouldn't..
but he didn't have a meltdown. so i'm counting it as a win.
after the tour, we panned for gold, pumped some water, and checked out the view of old town san diego from the top of the museum.
all i have to say after that experience is.. i'm so grateful i wasn't a pioneer.
