i think chet's halloween candy is going to be a great bribe to get him to eat his meals.
and yes, we will stoop to that level :)

today, at lunch, we had this conversation:

me: if you finish your peaches, you can pick out a treat.
chet: no, i don't want a potty treat.
{haha potty training is one gigantic failure in our home!}
me: not a potty treat. a halloween treat!
chet: oOOooohh ok! mmm eat my peaches.

chet was absolutely spoiled this halloween.
it was just one halloween activity after another. the ENTIRE day.
it made for an unproductive day for me but halloween only comes once a year, so i just enjoyed it.
it was fun to see him grasping the whole halloween concept. it didn't take long!
and it was a good reason to be outside taking advantage of the nice fall weather. because it probably won't last much longer :(
this was, by far, the warmest halloween i have ever had. it was great!
after seeing all the pictures of my friends' halloweens back in calgary, i am reminded why i have never really liked halloween...
because the weather always stinks in calgary on halloween. without fail. it's so sad.
and, in my opinion, no amount of candy is worth trudging through arctic weather for.
i really hope my kids get to grow up celebrating warmer halloweens then me. [fingers crossed!!]

chet went out with his buddy, max.
they were the cutest little trick-or-treaters.
us parents were having way too much fun watching/laughing at them.
chet would take big handfuls of candy when he had the chance, and max would just stand and stare at the person handing out the treats until they offered him more! plus, chet's costume and bucket made getting up stairs super slow and awkward.
i have uploaded a short 1 minute video of him trying to get up to a door. if you are interested in watching it CLICK HERE!

[kids that showed up to papa murphy's in costume got a free mini murph!]
the boys weren't too thrilled about snapping this picture! i tried.
[holden was a banana... if you can't tell.]
max and chet.
sorting candy. not bad for a 2 year old!
