the weather has been oddly warm here for the past few weeks, and the longterm forecast is looking pretty good too. i am starting to get my hopes up that winter in over (which i know is a bad idea!).

we have been doing our best to take advantage of the nice weather.
on valentines day, we went for a family walk in fish creek.
my favorite part was looking at tad all bundled up! dang, he's cute.
i always want to snap pictures of him!
this is my view when we are snuggling. pretty good, huh?
another fun thing we got to do on valentine's day was check out uncle geoff's police truck!
chet and holden felt pretty special sitting in the front of the truck and turning on the siren, and getting locked up in the back of the truck.
matt also provided some entertainment for the family by letting geoff use something from his police belt on him!
and, lastly in valentine's day news.. chet got to do a valentine exchange with his kindergarten class.
i think his valentines turnout super cute.
we attached that note to a bag of teddy grahams and miniature gummy bears.
the other day, i caught holden doing the sweetest thing - he was sitting on a stack of stools that he had piled up beside tad's crib, strumming chet's ukulele and singing a mash-up of the few songs he knows the words to. (life is a highway/baa baa black sheep/paw patrol theme song).
i tried to catch it on video, but i wasn't sneaky enough.
holden is a really thoughtful boy.
