sleepy heads.

it is just after 9:00 am.

chet headed off to school 45 minutes ago, and i have been waiting for holden and tad to stir ever since.

sometimes i wonder how we got so lucky when it comes to kids who sleep like champs.

because really, if you are well rested, parenting is so much more enjoyable!

tomorrow morning we won't be so lucky with the kids sleeping in.

we will all be up before the crack of dawn so we can go to arizona!

well.. matt isn't going. just the boys and i are leaving tomorrow.

matt is joining us next week.

so he gets the short stick when it comes to length of trip, and i get the short stick with the number of little people i have to maneuver through the airport on my own!

we are all excited to get away for a bit - to see my parents, soak in some sunshine, and relax.

this week:

- chet learned how to whistle.

- tad had his first ride in a swing (and loved it).

- tad ate baby food! he doesn't really care for rice cereal, but loves bananas.

- holden has been so chatty. his vocabulary is growing by the minute these days.

- chet and holden entered into their first coloring contest.
- we have gone on daily bike rides to the park.
