wow, where did march go?! we had been looking forward to march for a while, because we had lots of fun things going on, and now it's gone!
we had a bunch of visitors, chet's 7th birthday, legoland, beach days, and lots of tball.
i will post about our canadian visitors and chet's birthday separately, but the rest of the random pictures are coming at you right now..
my parents made another quick trip out to see us in march! we always love having them. partly because we love hanging out with them, and partly because they always treat us to a much needed date night sans kids! while they were here, we took them to see balboa pier and island. we told them of how perfect the beach is, and how pretty the island is. unfortunately, the beach was foggy and cold, and the waves were rough. we didn't stay at the beach for long! but, we had a really nice time walking around the island and trying to figure out how we could afford to buy the $8 million home that was for sale.

we went to the huntington library the other weekend. the PUSD has a few free days for all the students, and that was one of them, so we were thrilled to take advantage. i didn't really know what to expect, going into it. it is called a 'library', but it isn't a library at all! it is this *enormous* piece of land full of all things pretty and artsy. there are all these different themed gardens to walk through (japanese, desert, palm, childrens,..everything!) and then tons of gorgeous buildings full of art and pieces of history. it was super neat! we spent hours walking around with a our friends and i feel like we hardly touched the place. i am excited to go back. partly, because i didn't take hardly any pictures because our boys were having too much fun with their friends! haha
there was this cool bubble show at a library near by. the guy who hosted it was super funny and actually did some pretty amazing things, that i didn't know you could do, with bubbles! the best part? tad actually sat and watched! i usually just strap him into the stroller for stuff like that, but i decided to try letting him be part of the party this time. apparently it is time to stop treating him like the baby, and more like one of the crew!

remember that time i brought popsicles to the park on a hot day and it was a disastrous mess! (sorry friends!)
holden was in heaven watching a crew tear up our sidewalk and pour a new one. he sat there, on the edge of our yard, for sooo long!

chet was invited to join holden's tball team because 1. he is always there anyways and 2. we had a smaller team then most. chet was excited to get the invite and holden was excited for him to join, so we figured we might as well! chet is too old for the tball aged group, but you can't tell from his size (or skill!) so we are just going with it.

there are lots of free mom and tot groups around here. a lot of malls host them (very sneaky of them to get moms into the mall that way!). this outdoor mall in pasadena, called the americana, has an awesome one that we tried out the other week. they had a live band for the kids, instruments to play along with, and a craft. holden's favorite part was riding the trolley around the mall.. which we could have done anyway, but oh well!
