life just got a wee bit more complicated.

and our dreams of having another canadian baby have, most likely, been ruined.

but it's all for a really great reason.

matt just got offered an internship for the summer!

it is with a company called flatiron.

they are a huge heavy civil construction company that matt is really excited to work for.

the internship will be in utah. half of it in lehi and half of it in richfield.

{never heard of richfield? haha neither had we until yesterday! it's small. even smaller then rexburg!}

so it looks like this summer will be quite the adventure for our little family.

we took a quick trip down to utah last week so matt could have the interview with flatiron.

he could've gone alone, but we decided to make a little trip out of it. and i'm glad we did.

chet totally thinks utah is a magical place - there are so many trains and trucks along the I-15!

plus, he got to go swimming, ride a pony, and get a picture with a dinosaur while we were there.

honestly, what more could this boy ask for?

we were actually so surprised that chet liked the pony ride.

we were certain that he would want off as soon as it started moving.

but nope! he loved it. he even asked to go for a second ride.

and now when chet sees a horse he says 'yee-haw'. it's too cute.

we went on a carriage ride.

there were tons of animals at the farm. chet was afraid of most of them.. including the chickens.

but, for some reason, he thought the sheep were really neat.

he has been telling us lots of stories about sheep since then.

 matt and i liked this goat - just because he has a ridiculously long beard.

 we stopped by a dinosaur museum too.
we were too cheap to pay to actually go in, but chet was just as happy in the lobby!

so back on the intership topic..

we have less then a month until we will be living in utah. it's insane.

we have sooo much to do. and matt is crazy busy with school these days.

plus, we already have flights booked to go to arizona for the semester break, so that will make things tricky too.
but i am pretty willing to make any sacrifices i need to if it means i get to lie in the sun for a 10 days!

wish us luck with getting everything organized. we need it.
and if you know anyone in rexburg who needs an apartment, tell them to take ours. seriously!
