we officially have a 2 year old!

chet totally didn't understand the whole birthday concept this year... again.

but he did really like getting sung to. every time someone would sing to him he would say 'again!'.
he also liked eating cake, blowing out candles, and getting cool new toys.

so, even though he didn't know that we were celebrating his day of birth, i think he still felt pretty special.

the cichy's came over to celebrate with us. they are always so sweet to chet.

this years party was much more quaint then last year.

the theme was trains because chet loves trains these days.

but it was a very homemade party because it was impossible to find train decorations.

we ended up just putting one of chet's train toys on his cake to decorate it!
train parties must not be in this year! but don't tell chet..

chet got lots of nice gifts. he was spoiled for sure.

and this was actually the first time matt and i have bought chet a gift. we have never really seen the point in the past.
you probably think that makes us mean parents. but i like to consider ourselves smart instead!

i think we could have made it another year without him noticing we that didn't give him anything, but it sure was fun spoil him.

we got him a bike. and it is seriously the cutest thing.
