for father's day this year, we headed down to the huntington beach area for a bike ride by the beach. it was one of the activities on our summer wish list, and it did not disappoint. we ended up biking just over 11 miles, which is a big trip for little legs! we were proud of the boys.
after the bike ride, we had a picnic on the beach. we were all bundled up for the picnic, but then all ended up playing in the water by the end. it's hard to resist the waves!

matt is, hands down, the favorite parent in our family. and with good reason. anything i can do, he manages to do it better - with more patience and playfulness. i admire his ability to calm, teach, play with, forgive, and love our boys. he is everything i want my boys to be when they grow up, and i think that means he is doing an exceptional job. lucky us!
